Description: The Ladies in White are women who request from Cuban authorities the release of their relatives, imprisoned during the March-April 2003 crackdown on dissidents. Dressed in white, they attend mass every Sunday at Santa Rita Church, in the neighbourhood of Miramar, Havana; carry out marches, vigils, and other peaceful demonstrations. They do not call themselves a political organization.

FLAMUR Cuba
Description: Founded in 2000 as an NGO, FLAMUR-Cuba aims at promoting a better economic, social and cultural way of living for all rural women. FLAMUR has developed the campaign "With the Same Currency", which demands from the Cuban government the acceptance of the Cuban peso in all establishments.
