Arco Progresita
Description: A cooalition of social democratic organizations with the objective of promoting proposals and fostering debate inside the island as well as withing the Cuban exile community regarding social democratic ideas. It was founded in March 2003 by the Corriente Socialista Democrática Cubana, the Coordinadora Social Demócrata de Cuba, the Movimiento Cubano por la Democracia, the Movimiento Juvenil Socialista Democrático, the Mujeres de Izquierda Democrática and the Partido del Pueblo. Provides information about the Arco Progresista and its initiatives.

Asamblea para Promover la Sociedad Civil en Cuba
Description: The Assembly to Promote Civil Society in Cuba was founded in March 2002 by Marta Beatriz Roque. This coalition of organizations works to strengthen civil society in order to achieve a peaceful transition to democracy. Unlike the coalition Todos Unidos, it does not consider feasible attaining democratic change on the island through reform of Cuba's current constitution and laws. Consenso Progresista
Description: Comprised of opposition organizations Arco Progresista, Cambio Cubano and Proyecto Demócrata Cubano, this coalition strives for a “non-violent” Cuban transition towards a nation observant of human rights and international law, capable of coexisting in peace and with respect for its neighbors, and defined as a republic of free citizens, equal in rights and responsibilities. It creates a new space where Cuban men and women residing in Cuba and abroad can freely and openly discuss cultural, political and social issues.

Todos Unidos
Description: Founded in November 1999 by the Movimiento Cristiano Liberación (headed by Oswaldo Payá Sardiñas) and the Partido Social Demócrata de Cuba (headed by Vladimiro Roca), All United is a coalition of organizations throughout the island that support the Varela Project (a petition for a referendum, based on the terms of the Cuban constitution, calling for democratic change).
